BRUMBAUGH, Aaron John (Church of the Brethren or CB), b. 1890, educator,
minister. The son of Francis and Frances GEHMAN BRUMBAUGH, A. J. was born
in Hartville, OH. He attended Mt. Morris College (BA, 1914) and the U. of
Chicago (MA, 1918; Ph.D., 1929). A teacher and administrator in public
schools in Ohio and Illinois (1908-10, 1914-15), BRUMBAUGH also taught at
(1915-21) and was president (1921-25) of Mt. Morris College and Academy."
