“Mrs. Mary MELLOTT of Hopewell died Wednesday night, Sept. 19, 1951, in the J. C. Blair Memorial Hospital, Huntingdon. She was born in Wells Tannery March 6, 1869, a daughter of Henry G. and Rebecca (Woy) NORTON [typo: s/b: HORTON]. She was married to Lewis W. MELLOTT who preceded her in death Feb. 10, 1951. She is survived by these children: Mrs. Blanche BARTON and Eugene, Six Mile Run; Arthur, Hopewell, R.D.; William C., Hopewell; Fred, Everett; Clarence, Hopewell; Paul, Altoona; Jessie, Hopewell, and Lewis W. of Franklin, O. Also surviving are a granddaughter, Mrs. Evelyn BENCE, Wood; a sister, Margaret HORTON, Altoona, and two brothers, Joseph and Harrison, both of Wells Tannery. Funeral services: Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock, at the late home, the Rev. Thomas Gibson officiating. Interment in the Hopewell cemetery.”
