Death
Janet Diane (Putt) Neville, 73, of Putt Lane, Saxton, passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2015 at her home. Born in Puttstown on October 11, 1941, a daughter of the late Mary (Krucz) and Bernard “Baldy” Putt. Her husband of 55 years, Arian Eugene "Gene" Neville survives at home.
Janet was a member of Immaculate Conception Church Dudley, and was a 1960 Graduate of Tussey Mt. High School and then attended Penn State University where she received a bachelors in English and a masters in reading.
She worked as a English Teacher for the Tussey Mountain School District for 29 years. Following her retirement from Tussey Mt., she taught college classes for Allegheny College of Maryland at the Tussey Mt. High School. uring her life she enjoyed crossword puzzles and writing for the Broad Top Bulletin. Her grandchildren were her world and teaching was her life. long with her husband she is survived by two sons Richard Lee "Hank", husband of Evelyn (Dzikowski) Neville, of Meadville; John Henry "Jack", husband of Jackie (McCabe) Neville, of New Enterprise; and is also survived by five sisters, Jean, wife of Gilbert Patterson, of Mechanicsburg; Judy, wife of John White, of Madison, AL; Donna, wife of James Hess, of James Creek; Beverly, wife of John Wyles, of Saxton; Peggy, wife of Barron Whited, of Saxton. three brothers, Bernard Ted, husband of Shelby Putt, of Saxton; Paul, husband of Wilma Putt, of Hurt, Va.; Frank, husband of Darcy Putt, of Saxton; Janet is also survived by the following grandchildren, Brittany Janel, Breanna Leigh, Peyton Tyler, Morgan Faith, John Patrick, and Christian Zachary Neville. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Patricia Diane Neville, a grandson, Justin Wade Neville, sisters, Grace Johnson and Helen Helsel and a brother, Jackson "Jack" Putt.
Friends will be received on Friday from 6-9 PM and again on Saturday from 10-11 AM at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc. Funeral Services will be held at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home Inc., Broad Top City, PA, at 11 AM on Saturday, January 10th, with Pastor Steve Oberman officiating. Interment will take place at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Broad Top, PA.
