The name John REMSPERGER OR REIMSPERGER was ON BAPTISM, RAMSBURG ON HOLDCRAFT NOTES; RAINSBURG ON PENSION FILE The NAME IS FOUND IN THE RECORDS OF THE EVANGICAL REFORMED CHUCH, FREDERICK, FREDERICK, MARYLAND ON PAGE 261 OF THE CHURCH BOOK. JOHN AND SECOND WIFE CHRISTEENA ARE SUPPOSEDLY BURIED IN THE LEAVITTSVILLE CEMETERY, BUT NO HEADSTONES ARE FOUND. A COPY OF JOHN
AND CHRISTEENA'S MARRIAGE RECORD READS:
N 100, John and Christeena Pool,
State of Ohio, Jefferson County, Archer Township. "By virtue of a license
joined by clerk of the court of Commonplace of Jefferson Co aforesaid, I did
on the17th day of March join together as husband and wife, John Ramsberger
and Christena Pool, given under my hand this 25th day of March 1805.

John was a Lutheran and came to Ohio in 1803. He died in Carroll Co when he was 92 yrs. John was well educated in both German and English. Revolutionary War Pension File #S7351 Ohio 29.843 JOHN RAINSBURG.
