Notes
Death
GEISSINGER-On the 10th inst., of heart disease, Mrs. Jane Geissinger, wife of John Geissinger, aged 64 years and 22 days. She was converted to God in early life and united with the M.E. Church of which she remained a faithful member until called to the church triumphant; the call was sudden. On Friday of the 10th inst., while busy engaged in her domestic affairs, the Bridegroom came, she fell beneath the shadow of the cross and in a few moments the spirit of a noble Christian mother had passed from earth. Her example as a devoted Christian has graced her family and surrounding community with endearments which were exhibited by many in imprinting their last tribute of respect upon the silent lips of their mother in Israel. She leaves a husband and seven children to mourn her loss. Huntingdon Journal, November 29, 1871, pg 2.
