Dorothy E. Beach
Feb. 9, 1930 - Aug. 20, 2007
Dorothy E. Beach, 77, formerly of Henrietta, Martinsburg RR 1, went home to be with the Lord Monday morning after an extended illness.
She was born in Huston Township, Blair County, daughter of the late John R. and Ida (Endress) Brumbaugh. She married Glenn D. Beach June 7, 1957, at Woodbury Church of the Brethren. He died June 27, 1999.
Surviving are a daughter, Joann Beach of Martinsburg RR 1; a stepson, Gary L. Beach of Blue Knob; nine grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert of Hopewell; and two sisters: Lois Dilling and Elva Clouse, both of Martinsburg.
Mrs. Beach was a member of Diehl’s Crossroads Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg RR 1.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, quilting, attending farm shows and especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Beach was a 1949 graduate of Woodbury High School.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at John C. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Diehl’s Crossroads Church of the Brethren by Pastor Millie F. Baker. Interment will be at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
The family prefers memorial contributions be made to her church’s memorial fund.
