Notes for JACOB ALBAUGH:
Jacob ALBAUGH, son of David, was born in Frederick County, Maryland on January 20, 1785. Jacob married Mary ELLER who was born on May 29, 1788 in Washington County, Maryland and was the daughter of Henry and Fronica (GRABILL) ELLER. Jacob and Mary were probably wed and lived early in Huntington, County, PA.
Jacob and Mary obtained a land patent on August 15, 1816 for the SW1/4 Section 6 in Randolph Township, Montgomery County, Ohio. This is the northeast corner of Diamond Mill Road and Phillipsburg-Union Road. Jacob and Mary were early if not charter members of the Salem Church of the Brethren. Jacob died on July 6, 1858 at the age of 73 and Mary died on August 14, 1876 at the age of 88. Both are buried side by side on their farm in what became the Bethel Cemetery which is located along the Phillisburg-Union Road a few miles to the east of Phillisburg, Ohio in Montgomery County, Ohio.
