Death
On Wednesday, Rev. D. P. Hoover, pastor of the Church of the Brethren on Adams avenue and Eighteenth street, Tyrone, received the sad intelligence that his father; the venerable Jacob L. Hoover, had passed away at his home near Saxton, Pa. Mr. Hoover who was a farmer by occupation, was one of the best known and highly respected citizens in the community in which he resided. He was born January 9, 1834 in Bedford county, near Henrietta. For 30 years he had resided in Saxton. He was a devoted member of the Church of the Brethren, having been associated with same since boyhood, days. Surviving to mourn his death are, three sons; two daughters and one-step daughter: The funeral will be held Friday morning at his late home at Saxton. interment at Saxton.
