Individual Details
Michael Hilton SNYDER
(AUG 1878 - 4 DEC 1942)
Micheal and his father along with other family members are buried on the old Charles Snyder farm above New Paris.
Micheal and Mary Alma ran a boarding house at Tom McNeils lumber camp on PA. state route 30 just south of Bald Knob summit and just north of the New Baltimore road. The lumber yard cut hardwood timber for the deep coal mines. The business went bad when the coal business dropped off in the late 1950's. The Beard brothers Charles, Alphus, and Jesse along with the Weyant brothers Harmond and Sherman, lived in this boarding house while working for Tom and ended up with five of Micheal Hinton Snyders' daughters for wives.
