Death
Mrs. Dorothy Marie Davis, 90, of Lehighton, passed away on Saturday, April 27, in the Gnaden Huetten Campus of the Blue Mountain Health System, Lehighton, after a brief illness. She was the widow of J. Bruce Davis III, to whom she was married for 65 years.
She worked at the American Viscose Co., Lewistown, for several years before eloping during World War II. In 1968, she became the book buyer in the Campus Bookstore at Mansfield State College (now University), and retired from that position in 1984.
Born in Burnham, Mifflin County, she was a daughter of the late Dallie J. and Reta M. Wilson.
She was a 1940 graduate of Yeagertown High School.
She was of the Presbyterian faith.
Surviving are a daughter Melissa, wife of Robert E. Fetterman of Lehighton; and and two grandsons, Joshua D. Fetterman, and his wife, Susan E. Gillo, of Durham, N.C., and Christopher D. Fetterman of Harrisburg.
She was also predeceased by a son, J. Bruce Davis IV (Jabe), who died in 1980.
