Plead at Dayton in the County of Montgomery and State of Ohio, before the Honorable McC* (name) presiding judge of the Court of Common Pleas for the First Judicial Circuit in the State of Ohio, and Henry Hipple, John Turner and Thomas *(could be Winters) Esquires associate judges of the same Court for and within the county of Montgomery on the twenty fifth day of April in the year of our Lord One thousand, eight hundred and thirty six.

Be it remembered that on the fourteenth day of April in the year of our Lord, One thousand eight hundred and thirty six, Elizabeth Urmey by R. A. Thurston her attorney filed in the office of the clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of Montgomery county and the State of Ohio from the docket of Joseph Clingerpeel a Justice of the Peace for said County closed in the word and figures following to wit:
The State of Ohio on complaint of Elizabeth Urmey & Jacob Hoover. Complaint of bastardy!
On the eleventh day of January AD 1836 Elizabeth Urmey an unmarried woman resident in the county of Montgomery came before me and made complaint on oath and in writing setting forth that she is pregnant with a child which if born alive will be a bastard and Jacob Hoover of said county is the father of said child, therefore at the request of the said Elizabeth Urmey a warrant was issued against the said Jacob Hoover.
