Death
Wampler, Mary ,age 108 of Brookvile, formerly of West Milton departed this life into the arms of Jesus on Monday, May 16,2011 at Brookhaven Nursing Home. She was born March 14,1903. She was preceded in death by her parents Ora and Catherine (Crowell) Brumbaugh Hoke, first husband Hiram Spitler, second husband Morris Wampler, grandson Van Spitler,step-son Kenneth (Dorothy) Wampler, brother Arthur Brumbaugh, twin brother Marion Brumbaugh and sister Lorine Pierce.She is survived by her loving children sons Dale (Esther) Spitler-Troy, Lowell (Wilma) Spitler-Pleasant Hill, Wayne (Susie) Spitler-Ludlow Falls,daughters Carol (Bill) Brown- Ludlow Falls,Martha (Ed) Kuhns-Ludlow Falls, precious grandchildren Cindy,Bonnie,Marty,Randy,Melodie,Jon,Cheri,Kim,Brian,Jason,Amy,Beth and Mindy, 28 great-grandchildren,5 great-great grandchildren, sister of age 103 Treva Frantz-Troy and numerous nieces,nephews,friends and loved ones. She was a longtime member of the Salem Church of the Brethren where she served by quilting,sewing relief clothes and cooking. Mary’s “loves” were her family,quilting and sewing,gardening and helping others. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, May 20,2011 at the Hale-Sarver Funeral Home, 284 N. Miami Street, West Milton with Rev. Alvin Cook and Rev. Michael Hostetter officiating, burial to follow at Bethel Cemetery. Friends may call on Wednesday from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at Hale-Sarver.
