Noah BOLLER
Noah BOLLER, a highly respected resident of Saxton, died at his
residence there on Monday, April 24, 1939, at the noon hour.
He was born in Hopewell township, on December 29, 1853 and was the
son of Charles BOLLER and Katherine (WEAVER) BOLLER, both deceased. At
the time of death he was aged 85 years, 3 months and 24 days.
Mr. BOLLER was an active member of the Evangelical and Reformed
church at Saxton where he had been a member for near fifty years.
Recently he had been made elder emeritus of the church due to his
faithful service as elder of the church for many years.
During his active life, Mr. BOLLER had been employed by the H. and
B. T. R. R. company. He was beloved by all who knew him and will be
greatly missed by his immediate family and a circle of friends.
He was united in marriage to Rachel RUSSELL on July 28, 1881 at
Entriken.
His wife, Mrs. Rachel Russell BOLLER and these children survive to
mourn his passing: Miss O'Dessa BOLLER and Miss Lena BOLLER at home,
Mrs. Clarence BUSSICK, of Altoona, and Mrs. Margaret FIGARD, of
Williamsburg.
One sister, Mrs. Tillie LIVINGOOD, of Saxton, and four grandchildren
also survive.
Funeral services were held in the Huff Funeral Chapel on Wednesday
afternoon, April 26, at 3 o'clock. The Rev. Norman GREENAWALT officiated
and interment was in the I. O. O. F. cemetery.
