Abraham sailed from Rotterdam in the year 1736 on the Brigantine "Perth Amboy". He was a member of the "Schwenkfelder Church", a religious group founded by Caspar Von Schwenkfeld, a Silesian nobleman who was a contemporary of Martin Luther and lived from 1490-1561 in Ossig, Silesia. The Schwenkfeldians settled in Pennsylvania and are and were an organized church. Abraham came to Pennsylvania in 1736, was naturalized 21 JUN 1743. He is the only immigrant Schwenkfelder known to have gone back to Europe after the migration to Pennsylvania. He returned to America in 1749 from Holland, and brought back with him Hans Ulrich Seiler, a Swiss redemptioner, who later murdered his daughter Anna Rosina, wife of David Schultz.
