Death
Jack Lee Close passed away peacefully May 17th, 2018. He became a resident of Colorado Springs, retiring from the US Air Force in 1969. Jack was born in Bedford County, King, PA on May 17th, 1927 to Albert Norman Close and Clara Margaret (Hengst) Close.
Those left behind to cherish his memories are his wife of 67 years, Mary (Wefel) Close, his daughters- Sheryl Lambert, Barbara (Marlin) Nynas and Linda Parker all of Colorado. He had seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, and a great-great grandson. His sisters Evelyn (Close) Middleswarth (deceased) and Janet (Mark) Shuey both of PA.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 25th, 2018 at 10:00am at Gateway Presbyterian Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the church, 731 Castle Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80.
