David DILLING
(11 MAY 1827 - Aft 18 NOV 1863)
He enlisted in the 38th Regiment of Illinois volunteers, Company C in 1861 and was last heard from November 18, l863. He had been captured and had become of poor health during confinement in a prision near Richmond, VA. Government records report his death in the battle of Chattanooga.
