Sturgis Journal April 22, 1925 "DEATH CLAIMS MRS. KRONTZ - Mother of Nine Falls Victim to Cancer - Cancer with which she had been seriously ill for two months, caused the death today of Mrs. Lilly Mae Krontz, 51, of Sturgis. She had been a resident of this vicinity for 22 years. Her former home was in Burr Oak. Funeral services will be held at the Fogelsong Funeral Home Thursday afternoon at 2:30 and burial will take place at Oaklawn Cemetery. The husband, nine children, an aged mother, six sisters, and several grandchildren survive. The children are: Aaron Krontz, Mrs. Belle Gay, Orrin [Orin] Krontz, Mrs. Louisa Fager, Mrs. Gladys Harker, William Krontz, Rosetta Krontz, James Krontz, all of Sturgis. Mrs. Annie Oldenberg, Mrs. Nellie Shears, both of Sturgis, Mrs. Ettie Peters, Mrs. Ellie Lampman, Mrs. Jessie Trager [Trieger], Mrs. Alvina Witt, all of Grand Rapids are the surviving sisters."
