Evelyn grew up on the family farm in West Decatur, Pennsylvania where she attended the local schools and later graduated from Philipsburg High School. While raising her family of five children, she also worked as a baker at a supermarket. Later she went back to school to learn the nursing profession, and graduated with honors. Evelyn worked at local hospitals until retirement. After the death of her husband Jim, she married Lloyd McCLARREN. Her hobbies enclude cooking and travel.
