Death
John H. Dreibelbis
John Henry Dreibelbis, 88, of Centre Hall, died Tuesday, December 6, 2016, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.
Born November 23, 1928, in Bellefonte he was the son of the late John D. and Anna (Houser) Dreibelbis.
On March 18, 1950, in Howard he married Barbara (Long) Dreibelbis who survives in Centre Hall.
Henry was a lifetime farmer and was employed by the State College Flower Shop for a period of time. He was also a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
He was an avid hunter often going on trips out west with the boys but what he enjoyed most was spending time with all his family and putting together jigsaw puzzles.
In addition to his wife, Barbara, he is survived by four sons, Kevin (Sheri), of Howard, Gary (Amy), of Jersey Shore, Jeff (Lisa), of James Creek and Mike (Paula), of Duluth, Ga.; two daughters, Diane (Larry) Baney and Carolyn (Bill) Sharer, both of Centre Hall; nine grandchildren, Hunter and Jaxson Dreibelbis, of Jersey Shore, Makayla Dreibelbis, of Spring Mills, Danan Sharer, of Bellefonte, Latisha Stefanko, of Philipsburg, Michelle Saiers, of Bellefonte, Jim Dreibelbis, of Loganton, Jason Baney, of Hughesville and Linda Kay, of Florida; two sisters, Laura Homan and Mae Judy, both of Centre Hall; and nine great grandchildren.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Dennis Dreibelbis; and a daughter-in-law, Joyce.
Friends will be received 10:30-12:30 Friday, December 9, 2016, at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 226 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, Centre Hall. The funeral services will follow at 12:30 at the funeral home with the Reverend Charles Fitzgerald officiating. Interment will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
