LANCASTER - Isaac B.
"Ike" Tshudy, 80, of 1277 Spencer Ave. died Sunday in St. Joseph Hospital.
He had been a sales administrator for Armstrong World Industries and was retired from Kerr Glass Manufacturing. He worked for Linen Hope Chest at Park City and was a clarinet player who had performed with several area bands. He was an Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member of the former St. Paul's Reformed, Church, now the Church of the Apostles, United Church of Christ, and its Sunday school orchestra. He was a member and former president of the Young Men's Class of the church, a former president of the Men's Class, a deacon and secretary of the consistory and chairman of the church's Camp Andrews Committee.
He also was a member of American Legion Post 34, the Sierra Club, Environmental Defense Fund, National Travel Club, Lancaster Automobile Club, ARCO Travel Club, American Association of Retired Persons, American Numismatic Association, American History Club, National Wildife Federation, the Nature Conservancy, the Living Wilderness and the National Park Conservation Association.
Surviving are his wife, Florence Herr Tshudy; two sons, I. Donald of Jonestown and Douglas H. of Harrisburg; a daughter, Doris T. Paradise of Stafford Springs, Conn.; and four grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in his church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
