Death
George C. Morningstar, lifelong and highly respected citizen of Entriken, Pa., died at the Green Cross Hospital, Akron, Ohio, October 28, 1943. He was born in Penn township, April 24, 1879, the son of Luden Morningstar and Ellen (Garner) Morningstar, both deceased. At the time of death he was aged 64 years, 6 months and 4 days. He was united in marriage to Amanda C. Morningstar who survives with the following children: H. Dewey Morningstar of Aitch; Mrs. John (Mae) Heffner of Huntingdon; Mrs. Samuel (Violet) Donnelly of Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Carl (Gladys) Morrison of Huntingdon; Mrs. Dean (Beatrice) Lohr of Aliquippa; Mrs. Mearl (Mildred) Isett of Akron, Ohio; Mrs. Allen (Olive) Fouse of James Creek; Gilbert Morningstar of Entriken; Cecil Morningstar of Entriken; Mrs. Edwin (Alverta) Oldham of Aliquippa; Mrs. Boyd (Ann) Lohr of Aliquippa; Mrs. Ned (Alice) Reed of Akron, Ohio; Miss Betty Morningstar of Akron, Ohio. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and one brother, Irvin Morningstar of Newburg. Mr. Morningstar was affiliated
with the Methodist church of Entriken and his sudden death will be a great shock to his many friends and relatives. Mr. Morningstar followed the occupation of farming through out his entire life. He also operated a threshing machine in Woodcock Valley. The funeral service will be held Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock in the Evangelical and Reformed Church at Entriken, the Rev. Myers officiating. Mr. Myers will be assisted by Rev. C.A. Huyette. Friends will be received at the home after 6:00 o'clock Saturday evening.
