Abraham Miller Jr. son of Abraham Miller Sr. 1779 & Mary (Crill) Miller. His family were from Germany and immigrated to the US before the Revolutionary War, Abraham Sr., was a cabinet maker by trade, years later purchased farm land near Welsh Run, PA. Later moved to a few miles north of Hagerstown, Washington Co., MD. where they farmed land, Abraham Miller Sr. passed away in 1820 leaving his widow, four sons, and four daughters. Abraham Miller Jr. took his first wife Susan Funk were he engaged in the Grist Mill business with one of his married brothers on the Conococheague Creek 8 miles west of Hagerstown, MD. Abraham Miller Jr. had two sons with his first wife before she passed away, two years later 1840 he married Catharine Long d/o Daniel & Elizabeth C. (Fridley) Long. They had 13 children namely: Daniel L. Miller 1841; Martin S. Miller 1843; Sarah Miller 1845; Franklin Z. Miller 1846; Andrew F. Miller 1847; William R. Miller 1849; Jacob Miller 1850; Samuel Miller 1852; Mary E. Miller 1853; David A. Miller 1855; Ella K. Miller 1858; George K. Miller 1860; & Anna M. Miller 1863... Abraham Miller Jr. served for many years as a Deacon of the Broadfording Church.
