SANDUSKY, OH - Emma Beryl Stump Warnock, 100, a long time resident of Muncie and a ten year resident of Sandusky, Ohio, passed away, Sunday, November 28, 2010, at the Otterbein Methodist Community. Emma would have been 101 on December 3, 2010.She started a teaching career that culminated in years with the Muncie School System as a teacher, principal, and ultimately superintendent of teachers. She was active in numerous civic organizations, a member of Madison Street Methodist Church, various professional organizations, Delta Zeta Sorority, a variety of musical organizations, as well as a number of affiliated writing groups.Emma is survived by her daughters, Margylyn Delee Purvis (husband, Tom), Sheryl Ann Fredendall (husband, Bruce); grandsons, Kyle Purvis (wife, Carla), Kent Purvis (wife, Tricia), Kirk Fredendall (wife, Tracey); a granddaughter, Kirby Fredendall; great-grandchildren, Kyle Purvis II, Rachell Purvis, Christina Keller, Melena Purvis, Kenton Purvis, Kerim Purvis, Zachary Fredendall, William Fredendall, Sam Clayton, and Elliot AnnaLee Clayton; a sister-in-law, Helen Teague.She was preceded in death by her husband, James Guy in 1996; a granddaughter and her husband, Kenna Elaine Purvis and Randy Keller in 2001; her father, Joseph Stump; her mother, Alice Wehrly Stump; her step-mother, Myrtle (Teague) Stump; four sisters, Verga Brosier, Martha Shaneyfelt, Mildred Middleton, and Vera Ada Stump; three brothers, John Stump, Joseph Stump, and Donald Stump.A memorial service will be held 1:30 p.m., Saturday, December 4, 2010 at The Meeks Mortuary and Crematory, Mt. Pleasant Chapel, 7901 W. Isanogel Rd., with Pastor Charlotte Overmyer officiating, followed by a family and friends social gathering in the community room at the Mt.
