OBITUARY - News-Sentinel, Fort Wayne (IN) - March 27, 2002
Gladys M. Deardorff, 88, of North Manchester, former owner of Deardorff Restaurant and Deardorff Confectionary in Hartville, Ohio, died Monday, March 25, 2002, at Timbercrest Healthcare Center.
The Hartville, Ohio, native had worked at Akron, Ohio, Savings & Loan as a secretary and was a member of the Manchester Church of the Brethren.
Surviving are sons Barry of Glenview, Ill., and Darryl of Elgin, Ill.; brothers Evan Kinsley of North Manchester, Gene Kinsley of Daytona, Fla., and Keith Pontius of Fairfield Glade, Tenn.; a sister, Bette Gump of Trotwood, Ohio; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry H., and a brother.
Services are 2 p.m. April 17 at Timbercrest Chapel, North Manchester, with family receiving friends after services. Burial will be at Mount Peace Cemetery, Hartville, Ohio.
