Death

"Karen Marie (Lemin) Gerholt, 24, of 663 Sandy Run Road, Hopewell, died Sunday, Nov. 9, 2008, at Everett.  She was born June 4, 1984, in Harrisburg, the daughter of Walter Dean Lemin of Hopewell and Carolyn (Brown) McConaughey of James Creek.  Along with her parents, also surviving are her father's wife, Bess, and her mother's husband, Mike.  She is survived by two sons, Damon Lee Lemin and Dalton Gerholt, and a daughter, Kensley Renee Gerholt, all of Hopewell.  Her grandparents, Alma Messerman of Everett, Mavion Moffat of Wells Tannery, Fred Brown of James Creek and Edith Sleaman of Hopewell, all survive.  Three brothers and a sister survive: Walter Dean "Dean-O" Lemin Jr., and wife, Sherry, of Everett; Josh Leasock and Shawn Leasock, both of Hopewell; and Victoria Anne Lemin of Seward. Nieces Lily Ann Lemin and Madison Rose Lemin, both of Seward, and Ava Lou Lemin of Everett, and a nephew, John "J.J." Kibe ID of James Creek, all survive.  Ms. Gerholt attended Tussey Mountain High School.  She was employed at McDonald's at Bedford Square, Everett.  Her family will remember her as a loving and devoted mother to her children because they were all the world to her.  A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home, Broad Top City, with Pastor Stanley Cordell officiating.  Interment will be made in Grandview Cemetery, Saxton.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Thursday.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Curtis A. Heath Funeral Home, P.O. Box 214, Broad Top City, PA 16621, to help defray funeral expenses for Karen's family."  [Huntingdon Daily News]
