Death
Gary L. Brumbaugh, 65, of Ansonia, passed away Tuesday morning, Feb. 17, 2009, at his residence.
He was born in Greenville, son of the late Orville E. and Etoile (Brandt) Brumbaugh. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson, Ryan Brumbaugh, a brother, John Brumbaugh and a sister, Phyllis Black.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Pamela (Sink) Brumbaugh, whom he married Nov. 29, 1983. Also surviving are his children, Darrin (Jennifer) Brumbaugh of Rossburg, Darlene Brumbaugh, Darla Brumbaugh and Guy (Donna) Hammaker all of Ansonia, Robin McKee and Gary of Bradford, Gary (Carmen) Hammaker of Ft. Recovery, Kathy (Dave) Elliott of Greenville and Jack Lovejoy Jr. of Utah; grandchildren, Michael Hammaker, Jesse Hammaker, Ryan Foshee, Sarah Lovejoy, Matthew Teague, Ricky Childers, Tiffinie Hammaker, Tabatha Hammaker, Jordan Brumbaugh, Chelsea Waldon, Tanner Hammaker, Taylor Hammaker, Kali Hammaker, Christina Sullivan, Cristen Waldon, Holli Hammaker, Jessie McKee, Erica Bashore, Ashlee Bashore, Danniel Elliott and Byron Elliott; great-grandchildren, Kadyn Hammaker, Aiden Foshee, Caleb Noll and Dawn Gregg; brothers, Don (Arb) Brumbaugh and Bob (Peg) Brumbaugh both of Greenville; a sister, Carolyn K. Brumbaugh of Ansonia; best friend and brother-in-law, John (Shelly) Sink; sister-in-law, Toni Benge; and numerous nieces; and nephews.
Gary was a retired mechanic having worked most recently for Marshall's in Covington. An avid fisherman and gardener, he was a strong supporter of Ansonia High School athletics. One of his biggest passions was playing drums for Carolyn K and the Good Ole Boys.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Oliver-Floyd Funeral Home in Greenville with the Rev. Randy Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Ansonia Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
