Notes
Marriage
Shortly after their marriage, and before the birth of their first child in 1662, Bryan and Elizabeth moved to Mansfield Woodhouse, a small community at the edge of Sherwood Forest and just north of Mansfield, county Nottingham.Death
Mansfield Woodhouse is a small community at the edge of Sherwood Forest and just north of Mansfield, Nottinghamshire. Elizabeth Manners's parentage remains unknown; however, it is interesting to notes that the Manners family had held two manors at Helmsley and the titles of "Earl of Rutland" and "Baron de Ros" since 1538. It was perhaps significant that Bryan and Elizabeth moved from Helmsley before the birth of their first child in 1662 to Mansfield Woodhouse in county Nottingham, and that Francis Manners, 6th Earl of Rutland, 18th Baron de Ros, was warden of Sherwood Forest and constable of Nottingham Castle.Endnotes
