Obituary WILLIAM PERRY YARGER
William Perry YARGER, postmaster at Wanatah, died quite suddenly at his home in that place a week ago tonight, aged somewhere about sixty years. He was born in Pennsylvania and came to Indiana with his parents when a boy and located in Cass township where he resided nearly all the time since. His funeral was held Monday forenoon at the Christian church in the village, the pastor assisted by a number of other pastors of the place officiating. The attendance was very large, and the floral offerings profuse.
We had expected up to late this, Thursday, afternoon to obtain such data as to enable us to give a full biography, etc of Mr YARGER, but failed in obtaining it. Next week, although late, we shall present his life and character more at length.
Perry YARGER, as all called him, was more than an ordinary man. For more than thirty years we had known him. He was at that time our friend, honest, and sincere. We saw him last week ago Sunday. We went to Wanatah by rail Saturday night expecting to go up into Clinton to stay until ______________________( rest of obit was cut off.) Burial in Morgan Cemetery.
