Jeremiah D. STRAUSBAUGH, 85, formerly of Waynesboro, died at 10:15 a.m. Friday at the Hanover General Hospital. He had been in failing health for the past several years and he and Mrs. STRAUSBAUGH had moved to 216 Lincoln Way East, New Oxford, last March. Mr. STRAUSBAUGH was born in Greenmount, a son of the late Charles B. and Jennie (Weikert) STRAUSBAUGH. Prior to moving to New Oxford, Mr. STRAUSBAUGH had been a resident of Waynesboro and retired from Frick Co. where he had been employed as a machinist. Mr. STRAUSBAUGH was a member of the Trinity United Church of Christ. He was a 50-year member of Acacia Lodge No. 586 F. & A.M., George Washington Royal Arch Chapter No. 176, Chambersburg; Continental Commandery No. 56, Chambersburg; Tall Cedars of Lebanon Forest No. 95, Hagerstown; VF Post No. 695; Eagles Club Inc.; Grand Lodge IOOF No. 219 and a member of the ATH & L Co. In addition to his widow, Mrs. Ada Leah (Hefraer) STRAUSBAUGH, New Oxford, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth HIGINBOTHAM, New Oxford, and Mrs. Billie BAKER, Fort Worth, Texas. Also surviving are five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held to-day at 2 p..m. at the Snyder Funeral Home, Waynesboro, in charge of the Rev. H. Clayton Moyer, with burial in Green Hill Cemetery.
