Francita died a year following the marriage. Ron recalls the marriage causing a lot of consternation amongst his daughters. Apparently, she acquired some of Grandma Foster's good stuff and Millicent was upset about it.
 
After Francita died Grandad Foster moved in with Harold and Millicent. Ngaire and Delphine then slept in the caravan. At some point, Grandad moved into the Awapuni Old People's home, where he died.
