| Life sketch | | Joseph Brun and family left Acadia, Port Royal in 1755 during the deportation. Cross Frenchman Bay ( Bay of Fundy) travel by foot thru the woods with the help of the Micmacs Indians to Edmundston, then up the Madawaska River to Lake Temiccouata. Cross the lake to the mouth of the Trois- Pistoles River on too Trois Pistole. This was then called Portage Route, and Settle in Cap St. Ignace. The Next generation took the name LeBrun.
