Individual Details

Abraham Bourg

(1662 - Aft 1727)

In Aug 1695, Abraham made allegiance to the King of England however on Sept 16, 1727, in concert with Charles Landry and Guillaume Bourgeois, he refused to make an allegiance to King George II. The three of them were thrown in jail. Shortly thereafter Abraham, because of his old age, was allowed to leave the parish, as quickly as possible without taking any of his possessions. One must not confused this Abraham with his nephew who was deputy for the Acadiens of Haut-Cobeguit.
