His marriage act is lost but the contract is dated Nov 11, 1693 (François Genaple). They lived in Quebec at the beginning of their marriage then moved to Lévis. On that contract he claimed that he was from Bacqueville in Normandy, France. A contradiction to his place of origin on his immigration to Canada.
