Death
Calixte was reported missing by his family on July 21st, 2009. His grandmother had died a few hours earlier. Calixte needed crutches as he was disabled. During the first search, his car was located with the crutches inside but he was nowhere to be found. Other searches followed and his body was found in a slough in St-Brieux, not far from his home, on September 10th, 2009.Filed under: RCMP, missing man, St. Brieux, Calixte Khalil Perreault, slough, remains

A missing-person case that began on July 23 reached a sad ending late Friday, when police received confirmation that human remains found near a slough are those of a missing St. Brieux man.
Melfort RCMP say the remains are those of Calixte Khalil Perreault and that Perreault’s family in St. Brieux has been notified.
Family members filed a missing person report on Perreault — a 19-year-old who needed leg braces or crutches because of a disability — with Saskatoon police on July 23, then to Wakaw RCMP.
Perreault was last seen July 20 in Lake Lenore.
His red 1992 Toyota Paseo was found Sept. 10 in a slough southeast of St. Brieux. Police searched the area unsuccessfully for Perrault, but a volunteer team from the community found his remains in a marshy area near St. Brieux on Sept. 21.
It is not known how long Perrault was dead before his body was found. Police have not yet released a cause of death.
