Geneviève Perro

(25 Dec 1692 - 1742)

Geneviève born in Cap-Santé on December 25, 1692, entered the Ursulines order of Trois-Rivières as a lay sister. The annals of the community relates this about her: This nun was of great help to this community. Her desire to help was proverbial, it came from a pure and noble motive. Never, would she say, would I do enough for this community who had the charity of receiving me. Sister Saint-Charles died in 1742. We missed this devoted soul very much, that the heavens had destined to serve as a model to a long line of pious, humble and laborious sisters, who, in our monastery, have followed one another to this day. Knowing perfectly well how to link the works of Martha to that of Mary, the harvest of rewards that she engendered are not worthy of just a small reward. Sister Saint-Charles had made her profession on June 11, 1718.
