Jean Plante

Jean Plante came from Laleu which is now part of La Rochelle in Aunis, France. He arrived around 1648 and his first recording was on Sept 1 1650 when he married Françoise Boucher. Twelve of their thirteen children reach adulthood and eleven had children. Jean went to France in the fall of 1664 to come back in the spring of 1665. A son remained on the farm and the other six settled in the Ile d'Orléans.
