Antoine Blanchard

(1680 - 5 Oct 1750)

Antoine, son of Guillaume

Guillaume's third son, Antoine, was born at Port-Royal around 1679. In January 1707, he married Élisabeth Thériot, the daughter of Claude Thériot and Marie Gautrot, at Annapolis Royal. Over the next two decades, between 1708 and 1728, the couple welcomed ten children—three sons and seven daughters—all born in the Port-Royal and Annapolis Royal area.

Antoine passed away at Annapolis Royal in October 1750 in his early seventies. While all three of his sons went on to marry and establish families of their own, four of his daughters married into the prominent Girouard, Richard, and Cormier families. Amidst the later Acadian upheavals, his daughter Anne eventually emigrated to Louisiana in 1765.
