1860 Census of Nathaniel Blakesley they were in same county but in Windslow Township. There was an E. Wort and Edward, age 20 and 22 from Pa. also living with them and John S. was age 18. Nathaniel's Real Estate Value had grown to $15,000. and James's Real Estate Value was $6,000.Will
Petition of Christina Blakesley in the matter of the last Will and Testament of Nathaniel Blakesley deceased, for Probate of Will and Letters Testamentary.The petition of the undersigned Christina Blakesley respectfully represents that Nathaniel Blakesley late of the County of Stephenson aforesaid., departed this life at West Point in said County, on or about the 20th day of January A.D. 1869 leaving a last Will and Testament, duly signed, published and attested, as believed by your petitioner and which by her is herewith presented to your honor for Probate.
(Her name is spelt two different ways in this document Christina and Christian)
That said testator in his said last Will nominated and appointed Christian Blakesley your Petioner Executrix thereof, and that your petitioner is willing and ready to accept and undertake the office and trust confided to her.
And this Petition further shown that the said Nathaniel Blakesley died seized and possessed of Real and Personal Estate consisting chiefly of farming lands, farming utensils, livestock, household furniture and etc all of said personal estate being estimated to be worth about Three hundred and fifty dollars.
Document dated 16th February A.D. 1869 in Stephenson County of the State of Illinois.
Nathaniel's Will: He appoints his wife an administratrix, gives his oldest son (James B.) fifty dollars and the rest went to Christian Blakesley.
_I Nathaniel Blakesley of the Town of West Point in the County of Stephenson and State of Illinois aged Sixty five years.

Her remains were brought to this place by her son E. W. Blakesley on Saturday and was buried in the Cemetery at Crone Roads on Sunday. The funeral sermon was preached by Enoch Eby. The subject of the above notice was born at Dresden, Ontario, March 49, 1811. Came to Stephenson County, Illinois 1845, where she lived until 1873. Went to Iowa in 1883. This one by one Stephenson counties old settlers are passing away. E. W. Blakesley took the Tuesday evening train for his home in Case County, Iowa where he is intensively engaged in farming." E. W. Blakesley mentioned in the above news item was Ephriam.
