On 21st ult. in Chatham, Joseph Whitesell of Howard and Mary Ann Sweet, of Orford.

Marriage date poss 21 Feb. 1855
This incicates she was married to Joseph Whitesell during Peters lifetime and she was not his widow due to his death date of 1866. She must have married Peter I. Traxler after her wedding date, 1855. She could not have been his first wife as per notes. This means Eliz Gregory Traxler must be the mother of his children born at least before 1856 and his first wife as indicated by the marriage date. Infact it is not possible to determine what Mary A Sweet's marrieage date to Peter is, and which child born after 1856 is Eliza's or Marys. Eliz must have died after 1855 because a child was born in 1855 and Mary Sweet was married to Joseph Whietsell in 1855. Also Mary Ann Sweet's husband must have died or divorced bef 1861. for her to be listed as married to Peter I. Traxler.
NOTE: I am listing all children to Eliza because at this time I cannot determine which children are whos after 1855.

1. See Peter I. Traxlers Will in his notes.Further correspondence from Elizabeth Ann WILLIAMS indicates that
Elizabeth Ann is Peters daughter from a previous marriage and that
there is some problem over who is the heir to a certain piece of land.
(This is the Peter Traxler who is married to Miss SWEET in Beer's
Biographical Record for the County of Kent, Ontario. (extracted from
document from Douglas Field).

d. 21 nov. 1866, Dawn Mills, Innkeeper. Petition to settle estate
from his wife Mary.

Ontrio Registrar Vol. VIII, Legal Notices from Ontario Gazette pg 189.Copy of Notice:Traxler, Notice is given of a sale to be held 25 Oct 1872 of certain lands in the Gore of Camden Twp., Kent Cl., as the result of legal proceeding where by it was foung that such a sale would be more benificial to all parties rather than a patition. Persons having right to the land are: Elizabeth Ann Williams and Charles Williams; and Mary Traxler widow of Peter J. Traxler; Nancy Keech and Barton Keech her husband; Ellen, Richard,Emma, John, Peter, Isaiah, and William Henry infants within the age of 21 years. The land consist of W 1/2 Lot 6, Con 6, part of W 1/2 Lot 5, Con 6, and part of Lot 3, Con 7, all in Gore of Camden, v.5, pg 977.
