John B. Sutton II

(1782 - Sep 1857)

John Sutton Sr., his mother Betsey Sutton (Sitton) was Cherokee and lived
byCherokee records on Ooltewah Creek in Polk, Co. Tenn., east of
Chattanooga in 1835. Two years later the Federal gov. used the Army to
remove her and thousands of other from their homes and were taken to the
Great Smoky Mountains in SC, and on to the "Trail of Tears". She did not
make it.
