Quince and Lula separated and Quince sent Mamie and Sadie to the
Presbyterian Home for Children in Farmington, Missouri on April 26, 1928. On
May 21, 1932 Lula took the two girls to live with her. Joseph remained with
Quince during the separation. Lula died of cancer.
