Thomas Jefferson McClard

(10 Apr 1836 - 14 Jun 1914)

Thomas was a Private in the Confederate Army's 8th Infantry, Company A during
the Civil War and fought in the battle of Stone's River at Murfreesboro,
Rutherford Co, TN. Thomas had a headstone made for him in 2,000, It also has
his wives names on it. It was placed in the William McClard Cem. in Macon Co.,
TN. He enlisted May 1st, 1861. Disabled by felon on finger for 6 months. In
hospital at Augusta, GA & Macon, GA & Atlanta, GA. Finger amputated in 1864.
Paroled in Nashville May 15, 1865. Pension # 9811. Pension granted.
