Residence

Dolvary - Dolfari is in the parish of Eglwys Oen Duw. Daisy was living with and nursed by Patience Lamb, a 70 years old unmarried medical nurse from Tetbury, Gloucestershire. Patience died on the 2nd of May 1891. Her probate states that the place of death was the Orphanage, Garth, Beulah, Breconshire.

Marriage

Thomas Henry and Hortense were first cousins. One of the witnesses was Thomas Henry's half-brother John James Lewis. The other witness is difficult to read but appears to be Cleara Thomas. They were married by the vicar R W Lloyd Owen.

Will

In her will Hortense gives all her personal belongings to her husband Thomas Henry Lewis. She gives £100 to The Peterborough and District Memorial Hospital as long as it remains a voluntary hospital and not a state hospital. She gives her remaining estate, including all property to her husband. If her husband should die before her then she leaves everything, including April Cottage, to her daughter Sylvia Lewis and then after Sylvia's death, to any children she may have in the future. If Sylvia should have no children then all should be held in trust by the Bank for her sister Gertrude Mary Phillips.
