Military
as a private in the Revolutionary War in Colonel Abraham Quick's Regiment, Somerset County, NJ. He fought in the battles of Germantown and Monmouth. After the war, Hardenbrook purchased land from the U.S. Government in the wilderness of central Ohio, and became the land owner of what is now all of Mount Gilead, Ohio.Endnotes
