John Lovejoy

John and Hannah had four children for whom there are birth records. The three sons, ranging in age from 5 to 15, all died in August and September of 1739. There was a measles epidemic in Massachusetts in 1739 and perhaps that was the cause of these deaths.

John Lovejoy did not leave a will. The widow Hannah asks that George Abbott, Jr. be named administrator. George Abbott, Jr. was the husband of Hannah Lovejoy. There is an inventory but not a disposition of the estate in the available record.
