Although sources (Charlotte Helen Abbott and Durrie's Holt genealogy) state that Dorcas who married Thomas Peavey is the daughter of Ephraim Holt, Ephraim Holt did not have a daughter Dorcas. This can be established by the 1759 estate distribution of Ephraim Holt with heirs eldest son Ephraim who receives two-thirds of the estate and makes payments to his sister Phebe Houghton, sister Bethiah Holt, sister Asenath, and brother Maston.
