He married his second wife Margretha Cell, ab o u t 1782 and she probably was the mother of the last fie children. Ther e i s n o known explanation for the changes in the spelling of the family n a m e from Devilbiss to Diblebiss. One can easily see how Diblebiss woul d g e t shorten to Dible or Dibel or some variation.
