Daniel Marsh attended Northwestern University, receiving an A. B. degr e e i n 1906, and an M. A. in 1907. At Boston University he received a S . T . B . from the School of Theology in 1908. He also studied at Garret t B i blical Institute, and at Universities of Chicao, Pittsburgh, and Ge ne v a, Switzerland, and at Oxford University. He entered the Methodist m i n istry in 1908, serving in pastorates. In 1913 he was elected General S u p erintendent of the Methodist Church Union in Pittsburgh. In December 1 9 2 5, he was made President of Boston University, a post which he served u n t il 1951, when he was designated Chancellor of the University.
