Jacob Derr obit Jacob D. Derr, 84, of Madison, died Sunday, July 12, 1 9 9 8, at the Westmoreland Regional Hospital, Greensburg. He was born Jun e 4 , 1 914, in Sewickley Township, a son of the late John Lewis and Dell a E r rett Derr. Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Matlack Truc ki n g Co., Adamsburg, as a truck driver; was a retired farmer in the Sew i c kley Township area; and also was a school bus driver for the Yough Sc h o ol District. He was a member of the Madison Downtown United Methodist C h u rch, the Sewickley Grange #1897, the Madison Golden Agers, and the Te a m sters Local #30 of Jeannette. In addition to his parents, he was prec e d ed in death by his wife, Dorothy F. Hower Derr; three brothers, David , A d am, and John Derr; and two sisters, Hannah Beckinger and Margaret L ea s ure. Survived by two sons, Robert Derr and David Derr and his wife, S h a ron, all of Madison; a daughter, Dorothy ``Dotty'' Cook of Madison; n i n e grandchildren, Brian, Tim, and Dean Cook, Todd, Bobby, Matt, Kathle e n , Derek, and Dustin Derr; four great-grandchildren, Brittany, Cami, M a d elyn, and Corey Cook; and four sisters, Sarah Porterfield of Pleasant U n i ty, Mary Jackson of Eleria, Ohio, Cora Swantz of Lamar, Col.., and El i z abeth Hawkins of Hasty, Col.. Friends were received at the BEATTY-RIC H F U NERAL HOME INC., Route 136, Madison, Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and wi ll b e r eceived Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be hel d i n t he funeral home Wednesday at 11 a.m. with his pastor, the Rev.
