In 1947 Dr. Oliver B. Wingo joined the practice of family medicine with Dr. W. H. Lunceford in Sardis. This association lasted 20 years. In 1957 he was a Sardis City, Mississippi Alderman.
About 1967 - Due to failing health Dr. Wingo accepted a position of Director of Emergency Services at UT in Memphis. He died three years later on 1/31/1970.
